Help : Florist left 2 suction cap stain on white bonnet
Hi Folks
the ride had been used as bridal car. Florist attached 2 basket of flower using sunction cap on the bonnet , pearl white bonnet ( not sure if there is any adhesive on the suction cap) or the stain is caused by the water of the flower ( runs between the cap and paint)
To my horror , there were 2 suction cap stain ! 2 rings yellowish stain!!! I had tried the below steps but only manage to lighten the stain! IT IS STILL THERE
What has been done
Wash
Clay
Cleaner Wax ( 1st Attempt)
WD40 (2nd Attempt )
Optimum polish II with LC white pad ( last Attempt) -
Run out of idea! Compound next? - dun wanna hurt the car paint too.
Help help!

If it's adhesive, try goo gone. Be sure to wash it off afterwards.

The stain does look like those left by tree sap...
the bonnet was protected with KHGS and 845 prior sending to the florist... thought I have armoured the car to have any stains.. sigh

suction cups of the florist may have been used on a slightly dusty or dirty car before and not cleaned before the application on your car. the grit left behind from the previous use are probably the reason

Yes.
Get some Meguiar's Ultimate Compound and apply it to the affected areas by hand first and then do a few cover passed by machine.
The staining will be mostly topical but it sounds as though it has penetrated into the clear layer of paint at least to some level.
My guess is the stain has not penetrated very deeply as modern clear coats are very dense, the opposite of porous, thus the stain should be limited to the very upper portion of the clear layer of paint.
You can exert a lot of pressure with just a couple of fingers to a small area and this is what you want... that is you want to take and rub the compound to the affect areas to remove enough paint to remove the staining.
Then re-polish by machine to remove any fingermarks caused by rubbing hard.
Then polish and wax or wax the area to seal the surface.
Let us know how it goes...

Thanks for for your valuable input! Happy boxing day
I had use some jw prime (strong) - which had lighten the stain . Leaving some over night and hopefully itmcan remove the stain.
I am trying to take some pic but I guess my Camera is not good enough. It does look like those petrol stain or tree sap that already rats into the paint.
Good day mike!
Now the stain is lighter .. Should I still gomto compound will it compromise the clear coat?
