Re: Cleaning the roof, need a quality stool/step ladder
I got a Costco ladder that just will not die. I've had it for years...and I swear by the thing. It looks like it's been through hell and back, ha. My guys always give me crap about still having it. But seriously...the thing is so broken in, that it's simple to fold and unfold. I can open and close it with one hand in about 1 second.
What I'm saying is...you should buy a Costco ladder and use it for 10 years. You'll love it around year 8, haha.

The Werner platform is very good. Lowes usually has them on sale on Black Friday.

So what kind of relationship should I expect for the first eight years? Snapping shut on my fingers and such?

I've actually never had that happen. Honestly, if my ladder ever did break...I would absolutely buy another one. It's served me more than well.
One time I was in JC Penny with my girlfriend, and I saw the same ladder leaning against a wall. I couldn't believe how good it looked, haha. Mine looks horrible, but works like a charm.

Pick up some 2" velcro, cover one side of the platform with the soft loop side and you can place it right up against the vehicle without scratches or marring. Soft clothes, no belt buckle and you can reach pretty far leaning against the car even if you're vertically challenged.

Your all short. <---This guy right here is 6'2". I don't always need a good boost, but when I do, I drink Dos Equis...Er, I mean I use whatever chair I can find. But that werner step ladder mentioned above seems to be a good bet!

+1 on the Werner. I have the fiberglass one. Love it. But, I don't use it for cars. For that I have an old fold-out wood 3 stepper that I got at auction for like 5 bucks.
