2012 Black Mustang, Advice Needed
This weekend I'm going to wax a new black 2012 Mustang and I want to make the paint really pop .This is what I have for wax:
Griot's Best Of Show
Collinite 845
Pinnacle XMT 180
Which one do you reccomend to bring the best out of the gloss black paint ?
This car is kept indoors so weather durability is not an issue .
Thanks,
Nick

If you really want to make it pop you'll need to polish it. Applying a wax is only going to protect it. In terms of pop; the greatest wax in the world won't do anymore for an unpolished vehicle, then the cheapest wax in the world will for a well polished vehicle.

How about I hit it first with 205 or Griot's #4 and a white pad ?

Great idea, do you have any Menzerana 85rd and a finishing pad (preferably HT crimson or a LC black)? I find 85rd worked into the paint will really amp up black paint. If you don't have any 85rd, try the 205 w/ a finishing pad.

Is this your car or a clients car? If it's your car you may want to remove the defects, then gloss/amp up the paint. If it's a clients; are they willing to pay for defect removal prior to glossing the paint? If there is only very light defects, you may be able to remove them with 205/white (but cc on new Mustangs is typically very hard). Then amp up the paint with 85rd/finishing pad.

In that case, if it were me I'd want to remove the defects first. I'd do a test spot and see what it takes to remove the defects, then gloss the paint.
