rotary polishing on the roof of a car

I just finished buffing out a car with bad finish(Practice).

What is the best way of using the rotary when working on the roof of a car.
SHould i be standing on a step stool for more leverage?
All I see are videos of buffing cars on the hood or the trunk.
Are there videos on this area of work?

Boy, you really need to be on top of this machine or else it can get away from you.
The results are great though!

get a stool or something to just stand up on that will give you good access to the roof.
