Awesome correction tool, but it makes it really hard to buff certain cars without using 4" pads. It's annoying. I think I'm going to buy the Griot's 6" ROP again!

you should of never gotten rid of it in the first place. having another DA (or spare/backup) is nice that you can even teach someone/friend on how to machine polish for the first time if they've never done it before...
It is always good to have a backup polisher. The Griots DA polisher is a good tool to have. I would get a 3.5" DA Backing Plate and the CCS 4" Spot Buff Pads to use in the tight areas.
Pretty sure Flex is aware of the demand for a smaller backing plate to use with the 3401. In the meantime, as mentioned already, it's always good to have something as a backup or a dedicated machine for smaller pads. Not to mention if you're using a a beast like the 3401 as your go-to polisher for the most part.

And just when i thought you were done buying another machine . Mark next time send me your old stuff and i will hold onto it for you lol. Well i know one thing AG isn't going to complain about another purchase from you.
That's why I like the Lake Country Variable Contact pads that seemingly only Poorboy's World sells, because I can turn the Flex almost on it's side and still have a flat pad surface to polish smaller or more narrow areas with. Plus having that PC style machine with 3 or 4 inch pads is just a necessity for some areas.
