If I am applying wax (SS-II or XMT 180) via buffer do I use a polishing pad conditioner or crystal mist to pad before applying the wax? I know that this is a dumb question, please bear with me while I learn.
You just need to learn how the polish breaks down. What buffer are you using to apply it with?

Sqeeky, The wax should lube the pad well enough without a spritz. If you want to however, any QD would work. Polishes however do need a little help at the start....
Okay thanks, I'm using a cyclo, putting a little bit on the 2 pads and doing one panel at a time. I just wanted to be sure I am doing it correctly.
no need to dampen pad with waxes, just use a finishing pad. Light coats are best.
You use to much and it acts to much like a lube not alowing the polish to break down and do its job.
TSI, He was asking about applying a wax, not a polish.
