Custom painted frame...protection recommendations.
Have a friend that is building a older pickup. They fabricated and built a custom frame. It will sit lower to the ground and will be seriously shown at truck shows for the first year or so. After that will be just a cruiser on nice days. So wont see weather unless caught in the rain while out.
Ive been tasked with adding some sort of protection to make its ease of cleaning and upkeep a breeze. The frame and underneath will be wiped down and maintained to keep clean.
The frame currently is sitting bare with no body parts attached. Been block sanded smooth and painted already
Whats yall thoughts on what style protection to go with. They inquired about ceramic coating it.

Ceramic Coating is the obvious choice. Another would be rhino lining / undercoating

Gyeon was my first choice john! Guess i was just trying to think of a simpler approach when it comes to appying it on the rear diff and parts like that. Flat parts on the frame would be easy. But i guess in the end ya just get what ya can. Maybe give them a bottle of diluted ONR or something for the future cleaning wipe down step

My only concern would be heat from certain components such as the exhaust. Gyeon Rim is rated up to 1400* F so that would be the route I would go. Durability is >12 months, so that needs to be taken into consideration as well.

Never thought of heat being a factor... gyeon rim says it can be layered for extra longevity. Never used it but ill keep that one in mind

Is it same type of paint as would be on a body of a car? If that’s case PPF.
