In Hawaii, not so much, it sucked for anything beyond the lightest dust that ONR would have laughed at
Same product, same process, same nut behind the wheel…
It has to come down to water chemistry, and not just hardness
Alaska was straight untreated well water from a private well that was HARD
Hawaii was a private community water system that was pumped, filtered, treated, etc to the same county standards as the municipal system
The water there was HARD as well
Gold class sucked there and treated vs non treated water was to me the only difference
No, I did not get it chemically tested so yeah there could have been other factors
I’m just thinking out loud and trying to partially explain how we as a group can get so much variation in our results with the same product

I brought that up along time ago in one of these threads.
Eldorado did not like Optimum Car Wash at all because it woudn’t foam and for me it was one of the foamiest soaps I’ve used. I know what I sw and I trust Eldo’s reviews…. Had to be our water.
OCW does foam well but I prefer soap slickness and that was just decent. Not Mystic Bubble/Reset slick…

Foam is over rated any way. Its not like its actually *cleaning* your vehicle if its thicker. I foam just for some extra lubrication. That's all.
I get plenty of thick foam with 2 oz in my wide mouth Harbor Freight foam cannon (w/1.1mm orifice).
But I will agree about the viscous nature of Hyperwash. A little annoying to measure out at times. Hardly a deal breaker.

Re: What PH neutral soap is everyone using these days?
Used Meguiars Ultimate Snow Foam 1:5 in my 3D Foam cannon to wash the black MDX as sun was setting yesterday. Let it dwell for about 2 mins then used mitt then rinsed, and noticed I got severe streaking. It was relatively cool but noticed it was drying pretty quick which I assume was causing the streaking.
This morning I used the soap again at a 1:10 ratio and still got streaks on the silver sienna. Maybe not as noticeable but glass showed the streaking. Used same method, but this time finished up with a mitt and GG Brilliant Finish, then Formula 4 spray wax. I’m not so sure I will give it another try.

Late to the party, but I've learned quite a bit here.
Does anyone apply hyperwash with a pump type foaming sprayer? If so, any ratios to recommend?

Oops good catch my miatake, it is ph balanced...it sits on the scale at ph8.
And i like it. Been using it for almost a year if i remember correctly. Im almost getting down to near the bottom of a nano pail and will be ordering another. Cleans well, highly concentrated

Ph of 8? Nice level if it cleans well. 3D website would have you believe it’s high alkaline.
3D:
“This is a high pH, strong degreasing pre-soak that you used to super clean the exterior of a vehicle before using a normal car wash soap.”

Yeah i know, i dont care for that discription. In my eyes its a bit deceptive. Had to look at the sds to find the ph level.
But it does its job
