    What pads would you recommend?

I just have 5 and 6" pads and ordinarily I hand do narrow areas. Now I am thinking I would like to use some small pads instead of doing narrow areas.
Disregarding the grill what you use on the rear of my car?

    We need some more information.

What tool do you have? Looks like. 3 inch would do well.

For those parts of vehicles like that I will use 3" pads with a dedicated 3" tool, like the Rupes Mini LHR75E, or install a 3" backing plate on the Porter Cable 7424.

Have a Makita and a PC7335, also have a Chinese long throw.
Looks like 3" will be it then.

As far as specific pad types, I use the Buff and Shine Uro-Fiber for the heavier end of things, and their yellow Uro-Tec for the lighter things when using 3D polishes, and I have the full range of Optimum waffle, foamed wool, and microfiber pads when using the Optimum polishes.

At work we us the Lake Country HDO line.
