28ft Camper detail....1 step AIO..ballpark on how many man hours??

28ft bumper pull camper, 5 years old, light oxidation. Pretry sure its gelcoat but will conferm b4 doing any work.

Thinking to use 3d speed with flex supa beast and which ever lc hybrid force pads (white or orange) test out best.

Never done a camper. Just looking for assistance from those who have done it. Main thing question is how many man hours on average would it take to go around once with an aio?

Cant workup a price without something to go off of.

    Thanks in advance

Re: 28ft Camper detail....1 step AIO..ballpark on how many man hours??

This is a very rough estimate/a way to look at it....

    28 ft long by 8ft high = 224 square feet × 2 for both sides=448 square feet

    Doing a 2ft x 2ft section takes about 1.5 min
    That's 4 square ft = 1.5 min

    448 square ft ÷ 4 square ft sections = 112 sections

    112 sections x 1.5 min = 168 min.

    168 min ÷ 60 min. = 2.8 hrs

Hints why I said it was a very rough way of looking at it.

Punch whatever numbers you want into that formula and could I blast off a flat ass trailer with a AIO in 3 hrs.....yup, absolutely.

I do not know the condition of the trailer, I do not know the results he is looking for. I gave a idea of a way to estimate and at least point him in the right direction.

    Are there pop outs?
That can make a huge difference
    The roof part of it?
That can make a huge difference.
I personally wouldn't touch one of that size for less than $350....$10/12 foot is another rule of thumb for a total work up...(outside) only

Re: 28ft Camper detail....1 step AIO..ballpark on how many man hours??

At this point im looking for a general number of hours it would take to do a 1step aio. Clean it up, and add some minimal protection.
Might apply a product after the aio for some longer lasting protection. Depends on what the owner ultimately wants.

I just have no experience with campers and such. Ive done enough vehicles that i know on average what it takes me to do each step...therefore i can give a quote for something, and know how much extra to charge for 1step/2step wax/sealant/coatings etc.

Hell it could take 30 hrs to do a wash, buff with aio and lay down a added lsp. I have no clue

It's a tough call...I wouldn't shoot yourself in the foot just to get the job.
I'd plan on an all day if it was me...I know what it takes me to do a full size pick up truck....a camper.......whoa!

It all boils down to condition and how hard you want to hit it....
No masking and an a AIO. you could feasibly knock out the fiberglass really quick

Never thought of no masking off with an aio. That would knock some time off.

Thanks for the advice, and im not about short changing myself anymore just to get some side work. Ive had some folks ask to do their vehicles and when i told them my price ive never heard back. I enjoy doing the work but not for free.

Working off a ladder or a scaffold for half the time is different than working off the ground so therefore the price goes up

Re: 28ft Camper detail....1 step AIO..ballpark on how many man hours??

Just some advice, I own a 5th wheel, I have detailed it myself ONCE. First if you do it right, an AIO type of detail is going to take you a good part of the day by yourself.
Mine is 40 foot with three slides and it is tall, if not rushing and doing it right I can spend most of the day to get the job done. Hint - be careful if using a pressure washer, I had a detailer do some damage with one.
With RV roof, seals, and windows are delicate if they have been exposed to the sun for a good bit.
