Re: Need some advice on bird bomb and stain seats
Thanks for the help everyone. I'll be ordering the Bissell spot clean professional along with Wolfgang carpet and upholstery cleaner or the Adams cleaner with the drill brush.

Finally ordered up the Bissell spot clean pro. I'm going to try it along with Wolfgang carpet and upholstery cleaner.

Hey guys,
I finally have griot's polish on the way. I plan on trying to fix that bird bomb blemish. Can I just tape off a 6x6" section or so and work that area?
I'll clean it, clay bar, then work it with my Porter Cable DA.
I also finally ordered a digital paint thickness gauge.

It'll be impossible to work within a 6"x6" taped section with 5 or 6 inch pads.
Plus, that's not the best practice. (Concentrating on one small spot). Just make the bird bomb spot the center of your larger section (2x2 or a little smaller) and have at it.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

That's kind of up to you.
Is the hood in good condition? If so, you may only need to do one section.
Is it swirled up? Then having the one section nice and polished adjacent to the unpolished areas will look strange. Lol.

The rest of the hood looks good. I'll get some light on it and double check.

How fast was your arm speed? Lot’s of different techniques but one that work for me was about an inch per second. Pretty slow.
Is this factory or resprayed paint?
Weird that an orange and fast correcting wouldn’t pit a dent in it.
I believe Ron Ketcham over on Autopia said once it’s through your clear there’s polishing that will fix it.
To get a better look they recommended using a magnifying glass I believe.
