Megan, Nick and Mike. This is all my fault.
I posed this question without the thought of where this would lead.

    Re: Drying towels

May I make a recommendation of which towel NOT to buy! This by far is the worst product I have ever purchased in regards to car detailing, unfortunately I bought the big one and the small one!

It sheds lint like a mad man! It has done it since I purchased it a year or two ago. I recently made the mistake of drying my windshield with it, the amount of lint I can see when driving with the correct angle of the sun is very distracting to say the least.

I once or twice dried the entire car and I had to go back with a QD over the entire car to remove most of the lint...with the car being black, you can see every flaw...needless to say I was pissed!

Since my wife’s car is white, I will use it on hers since you really can’t see it!

Cobra Big Blue Microfiber Drying Towels

Me and Paul joked around about it being a bath mat when I bought it...I should’ve taken his advice!

Buy the GG PFM and save yourself a lot of money!

I’ve got 1 of those towels and I’ve never experienced lint. The only issue with mine is that it’s become hydrophobic and no amount of trying is able to bring it back.

I’ve recently given up on using it as a drying towel and have started using it for 1 towel waterless wash duty. Basically spray the entire vehicle and go matador on it. Fastest waterless wash in the west. Lol. [notice the dirt on it]

I picked up a pack of the new PFM Edgeless 16”x9”. I’m liking them. Only took one to wipe off a minivan doing an rinseless wash.

@Jayfro, I had the same issue with those towels. I do feel they work much better if you pat/blot dry with them and they leave a lot less lint.

Did I miss a heated towel discussion that got deleted? Didn't see anything unruly looking back? FWIW, Mike P and Nick Rutter have both departed AG..

I reallly like the PFM Detailing Towels. Great size for so much of what you do.

I've got a stack of the original weight (I think 850gsm) and some of the later (I think 1150 gsm?) ones before they switched to the edgeless ones. They ran a closeout on the Griot's site of "off color" towels that get sold at Autoparts stores and such and I must've grabbed 10 of them. They've got the pale green silk banding vs the blue of the ones you get at Griot's or AG.

NO heated towel discussion or unruly post.

On 11/30 I opened the thread and there were
three posts from Megan, Nick and Mike reminding
me of the forums rules about only product sold
by AG should be on this forum.

Woah! What are you using for the waterless wash and how much of it do you go through?

Wolfgang Uber Rinseless Wash Concentrate mixed up @3oz. per gallon for waterless wash.

I go through 1.5 liter sometimes on a sedan/entire bottle Kwazar pump sprayer.
