I guess I'm old school...for $4 you can get one of these and run it over your pad every 2 body panels and then soak your pads in cleaning solution in a bucket of hot water after the job is done.

Speaking of spending more than you have to, lol, has anyone considered converting an old parts washer into a pad cleaning station? Already has a nylon brush, pump and heater for spraying/soaking/scrubbing pads in your chosen pad cleaning solution.

    Re: PRICE DIFFERENCE

One of the best pieces of equipment I ever invested in.

My gf is overjoyed with me not washing pads in the sink anymore, and spending hours cleaning them. Or spinning them in the bath tub...

Completely shaved a ton of time off my work day.

And if you use plenty of pads, you can spray them with pad cleaner, give them a scrub, and then plop them in a solution of 3D Towel Kleen. They come out looking like this, and hardly any cleaning is necessary. PRICE DIFFERENCE

A word of caution on the regular AG 20/25% off sales… most often these do not include things like bucket kits, pad washers, detailing carts, and of course polishing machines. It’s generally just the chemicals, brushes and applicators, etc. Read the fine print before you hit the submit button. Caveat emptor my friends.

I can't speak to any future sales but this pad washer has previously been included in sales.

do a search...there's a sale going on where you can get it shipped for about 120. Couple of days left

For whatever reason things like the bucket kits (with the wheels/connectors, etc.) seem to be always excluded. I believe the carts and bigger items to ship are too.

That said, NOW is the time of year that AG/Autopia will have sales where everything is included. For those not on their email marketing lists you want to be. Yes, it’s annoying to get daily marketing emails but that’s how you know when these come around.

The annual gift certificate sale is also near (but never guaranteed) so jump on that so you can eventually stack some savings. That’s the only time you are really getting a “deal” on any of this stuff.

Just putting this out there for new members. It can be a shell game to try and get the best discounts but it can be done if you’re willing to play.
