    Xpel care

Looking for guidance on how to care for XPel PPF ( having full frontal installed on 2022 Carrera S) once it gets to the dealership , currently unloaded at Port of Baltimore (let’s see how long it sits there). I am totally new to films care

Hopefully your dealer will do a good job installing the PPF, more often than not dealers use templates which leave a lot of edges exposed and they can trap dirt and be very visible, and can also lift easily due to towel contact. If you have most edges wrapped it should be fairly easy to care for, a ceramic coating is recommended to make it simpler to clean the car and keep it cleaner longer.

Congrats on the new 911, it's a great car.

    Re: Xpel care

I've been taking care of ours ( 1 STEK Dynoshield, 1 XPEL Fusion ) just like ceramic coated paint. While ours are/were indeed coated at install, I'd take care of the same way if they were bare PPF.

    - No wax or 'creamy' products that can build up on/in edges & seams
    - No petroleum based products
    - If pressure washing, stay away from edges & seams
    - Careful washing around edge/seams
    - No auto car washes, even touchless (crazy air blowers at end could lift 'loose' PPF)
    - Ph neutral washes, spray LSP's

Pretty much treat it like paint w/ an eye towards 'edge discipline'
