Side note - was thinking of using these products with distilled water instead of tap water. Would that make any difference?
I use warm tap water. But I also don't store my solution, I get the bucket ready for a rinseless wash and then use it, whatever is left I pour and rinse the bucket before storing. If I were to store the solution like some people do, I'd use distilled water.

Re: A topic that has been beaten to DEATH - ONR vs. N-914
I like N-914 and if i were to stick with just one this would be it. Uber second, ONR 3rd.
Right now I use a rotation of Griots BFRW, Ech20, fenylab pure and 914.
When i want a deep clean and reapply an LsP, Pure.
Just get a good LsP clean and let it do it’s thang, 914 and GBFRW.
Added some gloss.... Ech20.
May favorite way to wash w/o a bucket is a pre soak with Ech20 and then followed up with an Ammo Frothe foaming waterless.

I was thinking of trying Ech20 but i'm not sure I like the idea that it leaves Sio2 behind.

It also adds some nice gloss and doesn’t attract dust like many “gloss enhancers”. Ech20 flashes faster than ONR or the N914 so when it’s hot/humid I tend not to use it, also makes a nice waterless wash at 1/15 or 20 and leaves a nice matte look on interior plastics. We really live in the golden age for detailing, plenty of choices and solid products.

Does that mean you'd rank Griots BFRW after ONR?

I need to give Ech20 a try. Sounds like it might be something I like.

Re: A topic that has been beaten to DEATH - ONR vs. N-914
Ended up with a BRS and ONR, had fun assembling a new bucket with a grit guard and a couple of gallons of distilled water. I filled a spray bottle with a little bit of the mix as a pre-soak. My car wasn't dirty at all, jusy covered in those yellow-green water spots. I was surprised to see how quickly the solution loosened up the stains, I don't think the Ultimate Waterless was able to do it as effectively.
I don't have the best drying towel but it's not trash either, it was pretty soaked by the time I was done. I wondered how much of the 2 gallons would be used, I was surprised to see that about half was gone after I was done. I must have left a good amount in the sponge, I thought that having more in the sponge would be better than having less.
All in all, I was pretty pleased with the experience! I don't have my technique down but it'll be fun figuring that out going forward.
Is using the same ratio for the wash good enough for the pre-soak, or should I make it a little stronger?
