IPA wipe in advance
If I do a ipa or panel wipe today. Then I don’t get around to applying the ceramic coating until next week. Do I need to wipe with a panel prep again ? Or could a complete wash with soap work in advance of the coating application.
Thanks

A wash would be your best bet but if your soap leaves anything behind another panel wipe would be recommended.

Is the vehicle being kept in a garage for a week until the coating will be applied?

I think anytime you’re going to apply a coating, because it’s semi-permanent, a wipe is suggested. You never know what’s been floating in the air that could settle on the paint no matter where you keep the car.

Do your wipe down right b4 your going to install the coating....even if it sits in the garage it does not matter

I was assuming it would be driven during the week. If not and in a garage i would still do another panel wipe.

I would wait to panel prep until you are ready to lay down the coating.
Even in the nicest of facilities, debris and dust can settle on the paint if It's stored, and even worse if It's going to be driven.
I've seen it happen a few time where one of the techs will hit the car with Eraser at the end of the day thinking they can come in an coat. They end up having to get the spray bottle of ONR to wipe the car down, and then do another round of Eraser, which is an unnecessary waste of time, product, and money.

Thx all. It will be driven. I might do a heavy wipe in advance to get the majority of my leftover sonax. Then the day a coat I will do another but lighter wipe.

Left over Sonax? Are you not polishing everything off to get it down to bare paint before applying the coating?
Depending on the Sonax product, a panel wipe will not remove any remaining LSP. The best bet is to polish the car to make sure any remaining LSP is totally gone.
If you are going to drive the car for a week, I'd wash it AND wipe down with the panel wipe just before applying a coating.

Re: IPA wipe in advance
I find some sonax perfect finish residue. After the cut. Not much.
