    Re: IPA before ceramic coating.

Funnily enough, acetone and isopropanol are very similar chemically. Also, iso can be converted to acetone and acetone can be reduced to iso.

    Re: IPA before ceramic coating.

I’ve used Prep, Eraser and Black Fire panel prep.

Eraser seemed the best. Like the smell and wipe of it. BF and Prep tied for second. All seem to work well.

    Re: IPA before ceramic coating.

I try and use the panel wipe for the coating I'm using if available.

I have gallon jugs of Optimum, CarPro, and 3D panel wipes at my shop. At work we use CarPro Eraser for Ceramic Pro and Xpel coatings.

I love the way Eraser smells. The 3D panel wipe smells like straight up vinegar. The Optimum has a very light scent, but tends to remind me of Eraser in performance. Actually, they're all very similar.

^this. I'm a huge fan of staying in the family, especially with the coating product's own panel wipe.

    What coating are you using?

I've become somewhat addicted to the CarPro air freshener that smells like Eraser IPA before ceramic coating.
