    IPA before ceramic coating.

Will do a ipa wipe down on my sedan before coating .
1- what is your suggested alcohol to water mix.
2- Being a white car. Its hard to see if all products are removed.
How many towels and how many ounces of ipa mix would you thing one would go through. When doing a final wipe.
    Thanks

Best off buying a pre-made product meant to be used. Home made IPA's aren't nearly as effective. If you're going to make your own it should be 1/3rd acetone and 2/3rds Windex. Again, better off just using something off the shelf if you're just a weekend project on personal vehicle(s) guy. 1-2 rags is all you need. Optimum Paint Prep is a good one. Doesn't contain any anti-static products thus works well.

I agree. If for nothing else, the purpose made products add a little lubrication too which helps prevent marring while doing the wipe down. I'm a repeat user of CarPro's Eraser, though I also liked Gyeon Prep. Unfortunately, I've not used similar products from other brands.

Thanks above.I have Geon prep. It seems so watery like one would have to use $20 worth just for one car.

It works really well and one bottle lasted me 3~4 mid-sized vehicles. It is thin, but all of those products are. You don't want them to be think and hard to wipe off. Spray on a good layer and it eats right though any polishing oils that might remain on the car after polish removal.

I use Gyeon Prep. It has been a great IPA for me. I am sure there are others that are just as good or better. But a Pre made Prep is the way to go IMO.

Isn't acetone a little harsh for a wipe down? I know acetone and plastics don't mix.

You've probably used this mixture before or you wouldn't have post it. Just asking.

It's a very low dose of acetone and I only use it on painted surfaces. I do use it but not as much as in the past as I honestly just tend to buy off-the shelf gallons of Optimum's product now. It's a mix that Yvan Lacroix has touted for a long while and has proven very effective. I mention it for those that want to make their own.
