Sold! I have been wanting to try that stuff for a while now.

Yes it is the same thing, just in a larger half gallon container.

I've not seen a 254. No idea what that is. Duragloss' home page lists the gallon sized jug as 252 and the smaller spray bottle as 253. Not sure why they would do that for the same product.

Here is 253, courtesy of the hosts of this forum: Duragloss Tire & Rubber Mat Dressing (TMD) #253

I love this product for a couple of reasons. The consistency of Onyx is somewhere between a gel and a more liquid product, like moisturizer cream. So it can be added to an applicator easily without mess.

From there, it just distributes so well. I have used countless tire dressings, out of all of them, Onyx covers the rubber with minimal working.

The finish can be matte to satin gloss, but never excessively glossy. It dries with no greasiness.

And the caramel smell is amazing.

This stuff is from an Australian brand but believe it is now distributed in the USA.
+1 for NV Onyx. It’s just so nice to work with, smells great and has a nice look to it. It just ‘feels’ premium as well. It’s also pretty durable. I get 3-4 weeks out of it easily with weekly washes.

Duragloss 253 here as well. I always do a final wipe 15ish minutes after I initially apply it.
