    Best easy to use Topper

    Hi everybody!
I'm running low on my toppers and would like to buy next a gallon of something that is versatile and can be used with waxes, sealants and ceramic products. All I'm looking is for something that delivers in this order:
    1) gloss
    2) slickness
    3)durability of 4 weeks

    Cure time require is:
P&S Bead Maker - 8 hrs cure time
3D Bead it Up - 24 hrs cure time
DP Need For Bead - no cure time
Meguiars Synthetic Xpress Spray Wax - no cure time

    What you guys think?

Beadmaker is very strong in the 1st two categories + is super easy to use. Longevity might not make it to 4 weeks but conditions play a factor.

There’s not too many things that can provide the instant wow factor Beadmaker delivers when you tell your customer to feel their paint and they see how smooth it is.

First time I used bead maker it blew me away but then I had the dust issue during the first 8 hours, might be user fault for leaving the car outside the garage

    IMO:
Of the products listed, the easiest to use
is Meguiar’s Synthetic Xpress Spray Wax.

But before committing to this product in
the gallon size, you could purchase the
    Consumer’s version for ‘testing purposes’:
    Meguiar’s Ultimate Quik Wax (UQW).

{The only difference between the two, that
I can easily detect, is the fragrance—UQW
    has a more pleasing aroma, IMO.}

    And D156/UQW won’t stain trim!

I have right now UQW, DP Need for Bead and Turtle Wax Spray Wax

I like the 3 but I think UQW is the one that improves the gloss less, it does improves it but less than the other 2. Like I said, I used bead maker in the past, loves the results but had some dust issues, never used the 3D product

    Cool…
Makes it easier to not be bothered
with having D156 in the mix, IMO.

How do you use your toppers...as a drying aid or on dry paint?

I currently have all the ones listed and my vote goes to need for bead. I use them strictly as drying aid's and they all work pretty good on wet paint except for the 3D bead it up. I got lots of streaking with that one last time I used it. Could have been the humidity tho, but I haven't used it since then.

If you want to look at something outside of those choices I'd recommend Poorboy's spray and gloss. Super easy to use, super slick, works great on wet or dry paint and doesn't attract dust.

Excellent question, I use them on 90-95% dry paint, I normally use a leaf blower to take away the big majority of the water and then I go with a plush towel applying the topper and getting any drip of remqining water...

Why you prefer Need for Bead over Bead Maker if I can ask?

Re: Best easy to use Topper

I’ve used both need for bead and bead maker.

For my wife’s white X3 I prefer need for bead, for my black TLX I prefer bead maker.

Need for bead is really good, it’s scary similar to Sonax BSD which is very very good. I had streaking issues with need for bead on the Acura and very little with bead maker.

It may be due to the soft vs hard paint.

Bead maker is OK, I've been thru a gallon of it, it just attracts way to much dust for me. And I always felt like I had to use a lot of it and it seemed to clog up the drying towels. I used need for bead once on dry paint and it did good...melts into the paint and didn't really require a lot of wiping.

I like to try different products,(mainly wheel/tire cleaners and drying aids) which is why I have so many, but I do rotate them out. That's why I tend not to buy gallon sizes unless I REALLY like the product. The only two products I continue to buy in gallon sizes is Poorboy's glass cleaner and Meguiar's D143 non acid wheel & tire cleaner. I probably won't buy need for bead again but I would buy Poorboy's spray and gloss again.
