Gyeon Trim or coating purchased by client?

So I have a new Ram 2500 Turbo Diesel in the shop for a coating installation. The customers primary concern is to maximize protection. If I spent $80k+ on my new truck I guess I’d feel the same.

The client did his own research and purchased the Adams Graphene Ceramic Coating Kit which is a multi surface product (paint, wheels, glass, trim). I have not used it before, but this is what he wants so this is what he’ll get.

After working on prep and cleaning a lot of plastic trim, I’m second guessing whether to use the graphene coating or use some Gyeon Trim I have in inventory that is specific for trim. If the goal is to maximize protection a dedicated trim product would be better… right?

Setting aside the cost savings by using the product the client already bought, what would you do? I want to maintain my reputation for delivering a quality finished product, even if it cuts into my profit a little bit. I don’t know much about the Adams coating other then the longevity claims are a lot of marketing BS.

Give me your thoughts… thanks Gyeon Trim or coating purchased by client?

I have the same kit from A. Using the Graphene on the trim did not impress me. My Ram is a 1500. The longevity I saw was maybe 5 months. The gloss is awesome. Ease of use and the flashlight I liked. I applied one layer plus my Ram lives outside 24 7

You will enjoy the ease of use of the coating. It is also a one layer only coating. If used on the trim be sure to level it and not pay attention to the instruction in the kit. If not wiped off it will turn white. Once leveled it will be perfectly fine.

If it were me I would give this client what he wants. Just my thoughts. The other thing you can do is upsell him Gyeon Trim as the better product for dedicated plastic.

I would use GYEON's product on the plastic trim. Never used the Graphene product so I can't comment.

I would let the client decide. Inform them that although the adams product will work perfectly fine, the gyeon product would be ideal since it is specifically made for trim.

This is exactly what my wife just told me this morning. I think you are right, and this is the best course of action. I will call the client and let him decide. Thanks for the feedback.
