Tricks for getting glue/decal residue off glass?

Hi all, I have a new camaro i got off the truck. I insited the dealer not detail if for the usual reasons. That did leave me with residue and chunks of glue from the decals and stickers. Any tips for removing them, or is it just a good old scrub with glass cleaner and a microfiber im willing to toss?

Goo Gone. And since it's on the glass get it damp with goo gone and leave it on overnight and wipe it off in the morning

For me, I just spray with some glass cleaner and shave it off with a razor blade.

I use plastic razor blades (if needed) so it doesn't scratch the glass.

I'll start with Goo Gone, and if that doesn't work I'll use Goof Off or Stoner's Tarminator.

Razor blades do not scratch glass if done carefully. I've done it many, many times for hard, dried contaminants.

For glue residues, if they smear with the razor blade, then a solvent is the best choice. Any of the ones previously mentioned will work but so will mineral spirits, lacquer thinner, or acetone. I always have those solvents around so they are usually my first choice... In this order - 1) mineral spirits, 2) lacquer thinner, 3) acetone.

I respectfully disagree. I have been doing this for over 30 years and have never scratched any glass.
I actually had a ZR2 in for some work which had some crap on the windshield that wouldn’t clay off, so out came some N914 and a razor. Voila!
Also, I sand the edges off my blades as I was taught this when I was young. Helps the blade to glide rather than the hard edge catching and scratching.

I like the blade edge idea.

I have also removed stuff with a blade and maybe I should have taken more time to elaborate on my quoted post.....

Just didn't want the op gouging his glass for it seems like he does not work much with this sort of thing.

IVe used razer blades on older cars, but since this one is brand new, i'm trying to be as cautious as possible. Im not quite a novice to detailing, but I also know there are tips and tricks for everything. Appreciate all the advice!
I think ill start with some goo gone, ill line my dash /trim with some old towels to make sure none of it gets on there.
