    Post your vacuum cleaner

I’m a huge nerd when it comes to vacuum cleaning. Ever since I was a kid, vacuuming the house was the 1st thing I really enjoyed and found satisfying in regards to cleaning.

Unfortunately for me, it’s not a topic that gets talked about much, but I’m certain everyone on this forum has to do it as part of detailing a vehicle. So that means every single person on here has and uses a vacuum cleaner.

Which 1 do you use? Post it. I’ll go 1st.

Ridgid 14 Gallon 6hp. 2.5” diameter hose 7’ long. [13’ length black hose not pictured, 10’ Orange Ridgid hose not pictured]

Blower Wand attachment shown here [I don’t use that to vacuum]

I’m curious to see what everyone uses.

I have the same as you but I don't use that for detailing, I use that for working around the house and vacuuming things like drywall dust, etc. For the car, which I only do mine so it's not large volume of detailing, I use my Dyson ones (a big one and a handheld one). I have several attachments for each.

I've got a Rigid 4 gallon 5hp shop vac. Affordable, good on space and enough cleaning power for my needs.

    Re: Post your vacuum cleaner

This Craftsman Wet/Dry Vac is 33 years old. It's outlasted two Professional Shop Vacs, had the wheels replaced, the plug replaced and has the hose extension from my old Shop Vac making it 12' long. When I first bought this it was used in my shop for cleanup and as a dust collector for woodworking equipment. After I bought the Pro Shop Vac this was delegated to job site use for several years. Once the second Shop Vac motor burned out I've been using this for my vehicles and general shop cleanup. I clean out the filter regularly and replace it when needed.

Well, either that or Bob's great-great grandkids can use the Craftsman vac to clean up his ashes after that "Oops moment" when the urn gets knocked off of the mantle with an errant Nerf ball..........
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.
