This Craftsman Wet/Dry Vac is 33 years old. It's outlasted two Professional Shop Vacs, had the wheels replaced, the plug replaced and has the hose extension from my old Shop Vac making it 12' long. When I first bought this it was used in my shop for cleanup and as a dust collector for woodworking equipment. After I bought the Pro Shop Vac this was delegated to job site use for several years. Once the second Shop Vac motor burned out I've been using this for my vehicles and general shop cleanup. I clean out the filter regularly and replace it when needed.
Are the rigids as good advertised? What about the one with the blower, anyone tried it? I'm in need of a new one and that seems like a steal, especially with the detailing package.

So that’s a handheld cordless vac? How long can it run on 1 battery?
You’re right about the dang hose in regards to seats and interior plastics. I constantly worry about that, especially when cleaning other peoples vehicles. It’s rare and almost non existent for it to actually happen [knock on wood] but it can feel almost cringeworthy if you allow yourself to think about it. I’ve got the 10’ Orange Ridgid hose which allows you to reach from 1 side to the other on most vehicles, but sometimes the vehicle is too nice and I choose to just lug the vacuum to the other side just to play it safe and avoid dragging the hose across the interior.
The hose is an issue on the exterior as well. Just now I was vacuuming a cars engine bay and you constantly have to make sure the hose stays off the bumper & fenders. It’s a never ending hassle. Lol.

IMO Ridgid vacs are sweet. That particular 1 you’re talking about should mark all the boxes. I got mine years ago with the detailing kit included for $99 + tax
The tools in the detailing kit are good and still in use. My crevice tool has duct tape all around it and so does the claw, so they did break, but I fixed them. That hose adapter will eventually break too, unless it’s a higher quality 1 these days like the replacements I bought online.
That vac with the blower included should be great and that blower comes in handy. I have a 13’ hose and that same blower wand and it’s what I use to sweep the patio in the backyard. It’s much better than sweeping. If I were you I’d buy it. What are you using now?
Does the canister fill up kind of fast on that vacuum? I’ve always wondered about the small size and whether it needs to be cleaned very often compared to the larger vacs.

I don't empty a huge volume out of it but there's not much space between the bottom of the filter and the base of the vacuum. So it probably wouldn't take long to start covering it up. I have one of the Pro Pack vacuums, which is similar in that regard.
