    Re: Tire Dressing

Pick one dammit. Put one on each tire and let us know what holds up but you’ve got to get some rain for it to be useful. Lol. Thanks for sharing DFB. And I’ve got several of those options in my product stable.

I tried VRP but wasn’t a fan. I won’t be buying again. I need to get 253 once my Perl is all used up. I have a feeling I will be buying 253 by the gallon

    Re: Tire Dressing

Does anyone have any experience with either Lone Star Tire Coating or Duracoating? They claim to last months. I am curious about them, but might just stick with Duragloss 253.

@DFB. What dilution do you use Hyper Dressing? How are Hyper Dressing and Duragloss 253 different? Which 1 do you like better and why? Thx.

Yes, I use both neat. I know that can be a bit much for some, but it can be knocked down or applied more lightly for less gloss. To be honest, Hyper Dressing is probably best diluted but Perl is fabulous straight from the bottle.

In terms of these compared to Duragloss 253, and this is not detracting from 253 as it's a fantastic option, but I prefer a tire dressing with a thicker consistency. 253 is like Perl when diluted, ie very runny. I just find gel/cream like dressings to be cleaner to apply.

Keep in mind, I am splitting hairs here in attempt to describe differences between three very good products, you would be happy with any of the options I have spoken about.

How would you rate your experience of Perl neat vs Perl diluted? My experience doing both was Perl neat was a little thick and it is harder to apply. It just seemed to sit on top of the rubber and not really penetrate. When I dilute Perl 1:1, I found it not only applied better but it also seemed a little more durable. Perl neat didn't last long for me and was very short lived with any form of moisture. Perl diluted actually holds up OK in the dry and attempts to hang in there when it gets wet.

I rather like the look of Perl, but the ease of use and durability of 253 makes it my favorite. I too can't wait to kill off my bottle of Perl and go back to 253.

    What does Pearl “neat” mean?

I know Pearl is a Carpro product just trying to figure out what the neat part meant.
