Leather Care for Tesla Napa Leather
Hi All,
Got a 2015 Tesla Model S with "NextGen" Napa leather seats. Been using the SwissVax Cleaner and Conditioner products mostly and they work ok but don't seem to help much for friction/creasing of the leather and need to be reapplied every few months. Tesla replaced my front passenger seat recently and curious to know what products would be best to protect it long term and use for all of my seats. Came across the Gyeon Q2 LeatherShield which looks interesting. Would appreciate some suggestions. Thanks!

Awesome stuff. Following a FUNX650 recommendation in another Napa leather thead I tried this stiff. Makes my Audi's Napa leather more supple and the color a richer and deeper black with no change in sheen. Very easy to use with no blotchiness or streaking. For semi-aniline (Napa) leather this is the real deal.

Thanks for the quick reply guys! So should I use this immediately on new leather? Also how often do you typically retreat?

Has Tesla ever used real leather? I thought it's been fake leather since the beginning which means it doesn't need leather products and instead, just to be cleaned.

It is not sold here but look into colourlock. Leather protector followed by leather shield.

@Bruno. Yes Tesla originally had real leather in the Model S early years before switching to vegan for all models. Tesla Moves to Fully Vegan, Leather-Free Interiors in Model 3 and Upcoming Model Y.

Thanks guys! I went ahead and ordered the Colourlock kit. Will give it a go! Still love Black Label products and have a huge collection too! (Car wash, pad cleaner spray, and tire cleaner are among my favorites)

Here's what I've been using on the coated leather AND VINYL in all our cars since it was introduced. Nice stuff.
Added a picture of the leather interior - driver's side from after the interior detail.
This is what we used,
There was some kind of oily dressing on the dash, kind of the norm for most detailers.
The PBL Hide-Soft Leather Cleaner can be used on both leather and vinyl.
Logical thinking - safe enough for leather.... safe enough for vinyl.
The Leather & Vinyl Coating is our favorite product for sealing and protecting leather. Keep in mind, NOTHING lasts forever where you sit. That is get in and out of the car over and over again and again. Nothing. So the key is to,
Find something you LIKE and use it often.
Mike given to the popularity of colourlock, will Autogeek be stocking this brand?
