Going to help a friend detail their new SUV
So, one of my friends wants to have his new Toyota SUV coated and so I offered to help him. I'm not sure, but don't think PPF is in his budget, so I will take that off the table. He wants something that lasts a decent amount of time, but is easy to apply and maintain. He will keep his car clean - but he is not, nor will be a detailing hobbyist - as are many here. Of course we will do the correct prep work, iron remover, clay, polish, etc, but wanted to get some recommendations, wading through the zillions of products.

For an easy to use product I'd go with 303 graphene spray as an LSP. After your done cleaning and prepping the surface you can then show him how easy it is to apply and then hand him the bottle and say "reapply every 3 monthes".
Now if your talking about an actual concentrated coating, well, there are a zillion it seems like and I'm sure you'll pick a good one.

I just sold my Toyota camry....I didn't use coating....I used Blackfire one step which cleans...polishes and protects....and as a topper I use Blackfire SIO2 spray sealant...the car looked great

In your opinion how does Meguiars Hybrid Paint Coating compare to the 303 Graphene as far as application, look, and duration?

What coatings are in your possession?

Hey Mike,
If that question is directed to me, I don't have any coatings left.

I have zero experience with that Meg's product but have alot of experience with the 303 spray graphene. I applied it as my LSP going into last winter (November application) and it was still doing its thing in late winter/early spring.
It's so easy and inexpensive...why not use it every 3 months, so easy

If you're going for a full-on coating, it's still pretty hard to beat Cquartz UK 3.0 in terms of ease of use, performance, and value.
If you want to step it up a level from that, this might be of interest ...
GTechniq EXO and CSL Kit

I agree. I was thinking about using the megs on my Sienna because I don’t plan on applying a true coating to it. I might look at the 303 since as of now I apply the Hybrid Solution Wet Wax after ever biweekly wash. I do like the TW Wet Wax and their Ceramic spray.
I will be putting one of your recommended combo coatings on the Santa Fe and before fall and on the MDX. I will have to say though the CanCoat is still going strong on the MDX at almost 4 months.

Can Coat has been a forum favorite since it's debut! 303 also makes their Touchless Sealant which is a spray on, hose off product and I've gotten almost 3 monthes out of it during its testing phase. The 303 spray graphene is such a value and durable product, a win win
