CQUARTZ DLUX vs Cerakote
So for those who have used both for trim, any real deal difference between the two in terms of longevity, deepness of shine?

Do you really want your trim to shine? I much prefer a satin look, which Dlux will give you. Haven't used Cerakote so maybe I shouldn't be responding to your thread.
Wolfgang (WETS) is another good option. If your trim is weathered, then Solution Finish will get it back to a factory finish.

I have not used Cerakote but I’ve seen trim treated with it and found it a little too shiny. Dlux looks much better in my opinion.

I have not used it either but I have seen many posts in a couple facebook posts of cerakote application issues with splotchy appearance and questions asking how to remove it. I have used DLUX many times and it is a very good trim coating.

I had this issue at first and I think this is an application issue. With it be a moistened towelette it is hard to apply in even passes and leanes more to kinda wiggle wiping back and forth.
Once i got say the splotches I corrected application and all was good. This is where i think Delux wins as applying it to a AF Saver would have made it alot easier.
The only reason I went for this is it is listed to last twice as long. Delux was one year and this was 2 yr or 200 washes. Also had read some issues of “silvering” or discoloring with delux and no way to really remove or rectify
Wasn’t a fan of the test as it didn’t take into real world traffic film and such but did show it to be abrasion resistance.
The Guz if you’d like to add Cerakote to your trim test i can send you a square....

I don’t like cerakote.
GT C4 has been my favorite. Durability is amazing if you properly prep.
CQ DLUX is also just as good but I prefer C4 just ever so slightly because of durability. I do prefer the look of DLUX tho....

What didn’t you like about it and how long did C4 last for you?

Only ever use Dlux or Q2 TRIM and my preference is Dlux for ease of use. Both finish out with a Satin appearance and similar level of darkness. Both go on very evenly too. Small 30ml bottle of Dlux goes a LONG way. My wife's CX5 is done with it.
