Looks great from afar but up close, dirt sticking to paint. Washed it two days ago. Drove in light rain yesterday after the wash and have this now. If I tried to hose it off it’ll still look like this after rinse.
I will head to shop now and just do a hose on this and see if dirt comes off.
Later,
Tom

I like ceramic. Getting some Graphene this time around and will use on a C8 Corvette coming in a week or so.
I have an opened bottle and it's enough to do 3 more cars. Fresh bottle too.
Give me your address and I'll send it to you. Try it on just one door and see what you think.

Thanks buddy. I have plenty of experience with ceramic coatings dating back to b4 they were a thing. That being said, I still prefer the look of a good Nuba..... plus I have about 300 jars to use up lol. Appreciate the offer.
Re: Blackfire Pro Ceramic Coating, "Black Edition".
I'm also all about the look of 'nuba. Just something about it is captivating.

I can't speak for anything with graphene in it, but I do think the addition of ceramic ingredients to products does provide some benefits. I saw this first hand with my winter test of Wolfgang's SIO2 Paint Sealant (not the spray stuff). Really good water behavior which I found to be very similar to the better coatings. Not the same, but better than any traditional sealant.

Well there is always that...tough to argue that point! :xyxthumbs:

..
.
At about the 56 second mark, that's the Blackfire Black Edition. At about 1:08, that's the "regular" BF coating.
Last washed 17 days prior to this video. Video was made last night with a regular garden hose. Last wash was April 18th, and that was a no-contact wash. Basically just hit it with high pressure soap and high pressure rinse at the coin-op. - The last actual contact wash was I believe April 6, so one month ago.
Anyway...the video (no sound, but turn the volume down anyway. maybe some background static or something)

Re: Blackfire Pro Ceramic Coating, "Black Edition".
Tom I had time to apply this coating as part of my coating test. First off really simple to apply. But after the first wash I think I know what is going on with this coating. It isn't the most hydrophobic coating. It will still bead but it tends to sheet more which is more pronounced when the surface is flooded. It will sheet rather slow compared to a more hydrophobic coating. With this type of coating (ie Gtechniq CSL, 3D ceramic) they tend to lack in self cleaning. They actually hold onto dirt more than a more hydrophobic coating. This is normal and I suspect this is what you are experiencing. This is why I am not a fan of this type of coating.

I've only been detailing for 2-3 years now. I applied c.quartz uk to the back end of my car about 4 weeks ago. It is different. Amazing gloss. The other LSP's i've played with are colly 845, sonax PNS, polish angel cosmic V2 and a few of their spray waxes and a few others. C.quartz uk has great water behavior and gloss.
When i get home from work i plan to coat the rest of the car. :)
Re: Blackfire Pro Ceramic Coating, "Black Edition".
My experience is different than that of The Guz.
I do find that Black Edition is hydrophobic and has decent self cleaning
Of the 5 currently on my hood, Black and Poorboy's stay the cleanest between washes. When the dirt is on, it is noticeable which sections are dirtier.
