    AWE Chrome Tip Cleaning

    AWE Chrome Tip Cleaning-img_0695-jpg
Hi All! I have AWE exhaust on my Audi and historically I could get the tips looking like new with the recommended Palmolive cleaning. Last spring that didn’t work so I used WD-40 to get them looking new. Now today I’m detailing my car and neither work. Apparently they’re coated with something so AWE doesn’t recommend polishes of any sort. Any recommendations?

If they are indeed chrome, I don't see why Mother's chrome, Never Dull or if it's really bad #0000 steel wool would not work.

I use P21S Polishing Soap for cleaning
    mucked-up chrome tips.

Afterwards, for protection, I’ll apply a coat
of either Simichrome or Collinite #850.

You think that would do the trick on my tips? Or should I go with a metal polish? AWE sells a tip cleaning solution but who knows if that will even work. AWE's Fantastic Tip Tonic | AWE

Should I not worry about them saying to not use ‘abrasives’? Not entirely sure if they’re pitted or if that’s just build up.

IIRC P21S polishing soap is not abrasive.

Lol I only used Palmolive and WD-40. Assuming I have to wet sand or use 0000 steel wool?
