Looking for a quality 5 inch interface pad for a glass polishing project I have coming up
Hope you guys are having a great day!
I'm looking for a good quality 5 inch interface pad I can use for a glass polishing project I have coming up.
I literally have everything but that.
I tried ordering one off of the AG website but it doesn't appear that they are in stock. I tried going to another website but it would not let me order because it would not let me verify the shipping details.
So I figured I'd just reach out to my buddies on the forum and see if I could get something worked out.
Here's what I have;
2 500 ML Bottles of Car Pro Ceri Glass
Flex Foam 5 inch rotary backing plate
Automotive masking tape
Rotary buffer
4 of the Car Pro Rayon Glass Polishing pads
The Ragg Company twisted loop microfiber towels
Lots of muscles, patience, a fierce will to win, and a positive attitude!
If you can help me please pm me and we can sort out the details. The job is lined up for Monday the 26th

If you can't find anything online/in-stock, check out a body shop/paint supply store in your area. I'm sure you can find what you need there.

Not sure if the redesigned Griot's innerflex pads are available through Autogeek yet.

Well guys I was able to get an interface pad today. I guess the internet gods are in my favor.
I ended up getting the 3M Clean Sanding Soft Interface Disk Pad multi hole (31 holes I believe.) Disk backup pad for vacuum sander - Hook and loop attachment 5" X 5" X .75"
I hope it works good for my glass polishing project. I'm sure it will work out great!

Please explain to me why you need a interface pad. Wouldn't a rayon glass polishing pad work on regular 5" backing plate?
I realize that the rayon pad is very thin..does interface pad give it some flex?

Yes, the interface pad helps the pad contour to the glass and enhances the polishing experience.
Mike explains it really well in this live training video.
