    Apartment washing without a hose

Being in an apartment for the time being has made for some interesting challenges but that hasn't stopped me from keeping vehicles clean. On the plus side I do have a two car garage that I keep my vehicles in. Anyhow I wanted to share what has helped me get by for now. A little modified wash technique and you are good to go. Using distilled water makes the difference.

I do have a floor squeegee that I use to push the water out the door.

    Great tip. Mike.

Btw. I remember your black E91. I wanted one a few years back but there just weren't that many in the used market in my area. Weren't you in Germany protecting our national interest.

Nice job! I have been in a condo garage for 10 years with all my cars, I have no power to the parking space nor do I have any water. My regimen is very simple; it goes to a touchless car wash first where I choose just the rinse cycle, then I bring it home and do a Gary Dean rinseless wash with car Pro Ech20, followed by a quick wipe down with Carpro elixir. The car always looks stunning.

    Thanks Peter.

Great car. This one was special ordered in this combination.

I was in Germany for a total of 7 years. Now Minot ND is where I call home. Doing the same thing now as I did when I was active duty. Only now a civilian.

Thanks Glen. That sounds like a solid maintenance plan.

Re: Apartment washing without a hose

I've been using an IK 1.5 for pre-wash foaming and the Worx hydroshot to rinse the car off, also for cleaning the tires/wheels/wells. I mean I have 3 five gallon buckets, 2 for the 2BM and the 3rd for rinse water for the foaming pre-wash and 2BM. I also have something called The Bucket Buddy that carries 2 of the five gallon buckets around. This is when I feel a 2BM is needed, usually a RW with 1 or 2 buckets is good enough but I always have the Worx to clean the tires/wheels/wells, I never do a half arse wash....ever!

All you have to do is make the commitment to the tools and process. Also don't expect the Worx hydroshot to have the pressure of a power washer, its battery powered and there is a "new and improved" model, lucky you guysApartment washing without a hoseApartment washing without a hose

I just use waterless - too much hassle to use a pressure washer of any description for me - I did try it. Currently experimenting with a coating to see whether it reduces the amount of swirling I get - I'm not expecting miracles.

I am adding my .02. I detail full time from my garage in Wyoming. We did not get a chance to have a water source added to the garage. My solution for winter time is a GreenWorks cordless pressure washer. i got the one with a removable bucket that sits on top that holds about 3-4 gallons???? i upgraded the hose and wand with obsessed garage parts, and use my MTM foam cannon. I am overly impressed with the overall performance of the unit. A bit pricey at around $250 with battery, but a fantastic solution, if you need one.

Re: Apartment washing without a hose

Great video. I think this is a great alternative for those who can't find a touchless or pay-and-spray easily, or if the car would be filthy again by the time they got home. Something like this would be the only way I'd be comfortable doing a rinseless wash in the winter.
