Polish until you think it looks good. Simple as that.
Overthinking is what leads to install problems.

Coming back to the two I suggested, is ease of use. No more difficult than a good detailer spray.
I could practically do an entire vehicle blindfolded, remove the blindfold after I was done and all would look good.
Trick with either, don't over-apply.

I'm not a "coating guy" either.
But, I have used them (Thanks, Guz!)
It's really all about paying attention to detail. And well, if you can't do that....... then what in the hell are you doing on AGO? Lol
I believe the companies that sell these products (coatings) are fully aware of the trepidation that most people have, and have addressed these concerns in the past few years to make it as simple as could be. And they have succeeded IMO
If you are "done with sealants and waxes", then you need to move into the coating camp.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

sio2 spray toppers. Griots Garage 3-1 and Shine Supply Clutch are two i’ve liked and used. Can be used on all surfaces.
Wipe on buff off and done.
If you don’t mind dropping a dime or two I love Polish Angel products
Another one that is popular is Wolfgang silica spray.
These are basically ceramic sealants but don’t stain

Carpro lite is simple to use. Much like a sealant. Just add some toppers to it. Gyeon has a new wax for instance.
And polish angel cosmic V2 applies like a sealant but acts like a ceramic.
None stain. Not sure of the gyeon wax though.

Understood, but doesn't he paint have to be polished Everytime before using it? Since it's a coating in a sense.

What I mean is , did I polish the surface enough to have it clean enough for bonding. Not for swirl elimination.

It’s not rocket science lol. Polishing is going to clean up paint even if you did it by hand.
If you are already polishing and waxing or sealant then your 3/4’s of the way there for prep.
Get yourself some Cquartz Lite as it’s wipe on wipe off. Has a 4 hour cure time. Top it with Reload to protect for the first week.
You can use the coating on trim, glass (non-wiper use), wheels and the list goes on.

Trust me I get it, but you have to say some people on here make it out to be rocket science. If prep isnt right blah blah and so on. It obviously weirded me out lol
