Re: Rag Company Dry Me A River not drying anymore...
I haven’t seen it mentioned but I have some of the Gyeon Silk Dryers and they work very well for me. Just lay it down and drag it across to dry the surface. 1 towel gets 95% of the water off of my Acura TL and the rest just evaporates or I use another towel to get the remaining “sweat” residue off.

What about the Rag Company Double Twistress or Liquid8r or Twist N Shout?
The Griots are like 1.5-2x the price of anything else up here. Also I tried the Griots PFM Wax Removal towels and hated them (for wax removal, but not totally sold on the extra cost of their stuff I mean)
I haven’t used one but the liquid8or looks alot like the LM sucker towel and is same GSM. That towel gets great reviews so i’d personally give that one a go.
I would order 1 liquid8orcand one Double twistress and give them both a try.
I personally don’t like TRC as a company and try not to give them my money but they do make good towels.

Can I ask what is it you don't like about the company?

Just customer service. Had a problem with an IK foamer and the basically said bot their problem and try IK.
I asked for IK info and they said it should be with box. Told them I tossed box and they said to look on internet.
Just not great customer service so choose to spend money elsewhere.

Both seen to be twisted loop stripes with a standard plush MF stripe. I’ve read alot of bad reviews on the Gauntlet leaving streaks when using drag method.
Would research chipmunks more if I were you.
The description does make sense though but i’d still be weary. Maybe look for a full twisted loop towel.
If you can’t find one their is one Available from MTM called the Duplex. I’ve used once on a Ammo frothe wash and i liked it....

Hardly ever hear anyone mention the MTM microfibers. Almost certain the duplex is a rebrand of the Purestar duplex, which is highly regarded in the UK forums

I can literally buy 2 TRC Liquid8r towels and still have almost $10 left over vs. the Griots PFM

That's good as long as they dry as well as a PFM and have the same longevity
Treat it like it's the only one in the world.

I have seen similar performance of the 3 twisted loop MF drying towels. They all suck up water good. I just bought the griots up because i got one local and then AG had a killer sale.

Re: Rag Company Dry Me A River not drying anymore...
I soaked this Rag Company Dry Me A River cloth in water and vinegar, washed it in the CG microfiber cleaner again, and it still doesn't absorb much (first placement on car seemed to work good then extreme downhill from there.) So it got tossed into the garbage. I'm so sick of stuff costing a fortune to buy then lasting so little time even after being taken care of properly...

Just bought the Liquid8r from TRC. $20 and it works so well there are no other drying aids needed now. I use Rags to Riches soap exclusively for the expensive MF's.
As far as customer service, they have been superb. Rebecca answered endless questions about MF care and drying aids. She has honestly been amazing. Extremely knowledgeable and willing to share it.
