Aquawax: Am I using it correctly??

I have been using Aquawax for years, I usually spray on , wipe off. Never tried it as a drying aid.
Should I let it stand for a while before wiping off? Not sure about correct application method

It should be used on WET SURFACE. Yes as a drying aid. After the vehicle is washed and rinsed off. Grab your drying MF, spray on, then dry off.

Never heard of using it on a dry surface.

Duragloss AW (Aquawax) is formulated to wax after washing in one easy step. Duragloss AW produces a high gloss, durable finish with minimal effort. Contains no abrasives. Clear Coat safe.

What do the directions say? That would be a good starting point.

Whenever I use a new product I'll initially follow the instructions. Then if I think I can improve upon that I might tweak my usage and experiment a little.

I use many products off-label for specialty tasks. Example - my favorite tire dressing at this point (for my own truck) is not a tire dressing at all. It's Meguiar's Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer.

Where does it say to use as a drying aid only and not as a quick detailer? Been using Aquawax as a quick detailer for over ten years when not to many products were used as a drying aid.

Again, i stand corrected. I have not used it in years. I just never used it as a qd.

Just like their RAIN REPEL. Another great product for exterior glass. But it doubles as a qd for paint.

Re: Aquawax: Am I using it correctly??

I never used it as a drying aid and had no problems whatsoever. No reason to let it sit just follow the directions. I didn't ever use a cotton cloth in spite of the directions though. Microfiber to apply & another to remove/buff.
