:iagree: with Eldo
Actually you wanna mix it 4:1. I woulda gone with the #105+#601 combo as it adds a little cleaning ability but #111 is good stuff too.

Oh yea, now that you brought it up I remember I have 1 of those towels.
And lots of people seem to like that style of brush, I’ve got a knockoff set of brushes that are of that same shape and they’re cool for certain things.
But for me personally, my go to brushes and the ones I can honestly say I can’t fully perform a “detail” without are these brushes.

They’re simple yet unique in that no other brush can quite do what they do. I make sure to always have some brand new ones tucked away as spares just in case I can’t find them.
Those detail brushes are easily on my top 5 list of most valuable detailing tools/supplies.
They’re these brushes.
Auto Vent Brush

When I use them I always carry 2. One normal and the other one I cut the bristles down with scissors in order to create a firmer version which works great on those extra grimy areas such as cup holders caked with old coffee & sunflower seeds, or dirty AC vents that haven’t been cleaned in forever...

Simply spray the cupholder with some APC and use that firm brush to do the work, wipe up with a microfiber and its 95% done.
For the vents I always spray the brush and not the vents, but almost everyone reading this already knows that.
They make a world of difference when vacuuming a dashboard because they allow you to really knock off the dirt & dust around all the knobs & buttons. Even if you’ve got a brush attachment for your vacuum it can’t compare to the precision of detail you’re able to hit with these brushes in hand.
On the exterior, they come in handy for cleaning up wax & polish residue out of cracks & crevices. Best of all they’re boars hair so they won’t scratch as long as you don’t use them dry. [try using 1 of those round head detail brushes for precise areas like this and you’ll see why they’re the wrong size more often than not]

There’s no better way to quickly and safely detail exterior badges & emblems during the wash process.

Update!
I worked my "half-day Saturday rotation" and then cleaned up my V70 and put some sealant on.
Step 1 Wash Car
Step 2 Dry
Step 3 Diluted IPA wipe down
Step 4 Dura gloss 111 and Dura gloss 601. 4:1 ratio.
Looks pretty good and it has some much needed protection.
Future plans... blackfire one step in the Spring!
Thanks for the help everyone, much appreciated.

Only time you want to do iron remover/clay is when you're ready to correct/polish paint.
If just doing a wash/wax, then just wash and wax!
BTW: Don't need to do IPA wipe down.
Only time you do a IPA or panel wipe down is when you're going to apply ceramic coating.

I may have lost a potential customer. Brand new Miata, owner just wants a coat of wax on it. I can’t bring myself to do it without doing the full polish and paint decontamination before doing wax.
“I’ll get back to you.”
That always leads to them never getting back to me. But, I want to maximize the gloss and finish on the paint so that they get their moneys worth.
Maybe I am being stubborn. But also, maybe my rate scared them away. I don’t lower my prices for anyone. I’m too cheap as it is.
