Re: the apc king
Would the ph of 10 be considered too high to use at 10:1 for interiors?

Standard hand soap has a pH value of 10 so I would say it’s safe for most interior surfaces. I wouldn’t use it on fine leather but the console, dash, steering wheel should be okay.

What about our modem day leather that has a coating on them? It’s fairly cheap locally , I don’t see how meguiars apc with a ph of 13 would be better than zep at 10:1?

For leather seats I use Optimum Interior Shampoo Gel with a Sonax leather brush. I do a small section at a time and wipe up with a plain terry cloth towel.
Gyeon leather cleaner is another good choice. I would always clean leather with a dedicated leather cleaner. Same goes for fabric and carpets. I would use a dedicated cleaner formulated for fabrics.

I use the Connelly leather cleaner concentrate that I bought from the AG clearance section (regular price was about $30.00 and I got it for about $10.00) I followed the directions for dilution and mixed with distilled water and I've been good to go for quite some time now

Same for Conolly’s for me. Funny gotten along the last few years detailing with out APC’s. I am probably overspending on dedicated products but meh....

Re: the apc king
Ive read other members have been using meguiars apc at 10:1 with a higher base ph of 13 on leather and haven’t had issues. My leather in the Audi is coated and isn’t natural leather. Will the zep apc at 10:1 be fine for cleaning with it gets dirty ? For daily wipe downs I have meguiars d149 which is more of a neutral product.

For general maintence on leather I use Mckee's interior detail or N914 WW. When I'm going to apply a leather treatment like Gyeon Leather conditioner I use my Connelly leather cleaner first, let dry and then apply the product. Because I've got a Hyundai its not going to be the top rated leather but I'm sure its coated and I treat it like it's high end for sure because I don't know any other way
