Doing a traditional wash with microfiber towels

Hello everyone, does anyone do a traditional wash with microfiber towels instead of a wash mitt and if so what type of towels do you use.I’ve seen Mike Phillips do it with rinsless wash but never with traditional car shampoo. Is it safe? Thanks

I would use high quality mitts made of microfiber. They ought to be the best of both worlds.

Yes sir, I use multiple MF towels whenever I do a bucket wash...two buckets, one that has the soap and towels and the other for the used towels!

I use multiple mitts, but any quality MF towels would work just fine IMO.

If you use a foam gun you can't shoot soap through a towel like you can a mitt. This is one reason why I use them instead of towels.

Thats exactly what I have been doing for years. I take 11 of my premium towels and those are in the soap solution. I pull one out dripping with soap solution and wash one panel with it flipping it over half way thru the panel. When that panel is done the towel goes in the second bucket. no used towel goes back into the soap bucket, hence zero contamination. Thats my two bucket method.

I am absolutely paranoid about instilling marring in my paint hence my foam gun/multiple mitts approach. I don't have to worry about buckets using this method, just lots of soap. I have to use soap that is available by the gallon in order for this approach to be practical and it has-- I get peace of mind when I wash.
