Griots ceramic wash & coat
Griot’s Garage Ceramic Wash & Coat (autogeek.net)
Might be looking forward to this one. I like the fact you can use it in a foam gun. Might be a good wash.

I'm absolutely getting this and I'm sure you've seen the foaming wax as well? I saw it at Advance Auto last weekend, same 1/2 gallon bottle that Brillant Finish RW comes in.

I have to say, i LOVE the Griots ceramic spray way. I plan to pick this up as a maintenance product for my spray coated cars.

Re: Griots ceramic wash & coat
For anyone planning to use the new product, watch the video by Nick and this past Thursday's live feed demonstrated all three methods.
Griot's Garage LIVE: Ceramic Wash & Coat (LIVE DEMO!!!) - YouTube
Now I have used this twice on my F150 and I'm struggling with the water spotting it can leave behind. Key is RINSE and RINSE again and make sure you do dry it quickly and remove any droplets. Plus watch out of those hidden cracks that seem to drain and drip. They will leave behind hard spots on your surfaces. In the foam cannon (GG model) it does create a watery foam but dissipates quickly. This is not going to create a thick foam that slowly works down the paint surfaces, GG states it and you can see it in the videos.
Product ratio should be followed, a little extra is not a good thing as it does have ceramic infused and when it dries it will be a pain to remove the white traces.
As to protection, yes it work to add something to the exterior.
Still working to understand how best to use this and avoid those spotting issues.

Does this have more to do with your water or the product itself

Umph. Hope it's not problematic. I have not used it yet to judge it. Since you can't use it in direct sun, this will be for my early morning washes this summer.

Fair question and same thing I would be asking. I have no problem with using the Wolfgang SiO2 Coating Wash nor the new UBER SiO2 Rinseless (good stuff). Plus I use many other soaps that would leave a residue if the water was too hard (city water system).
I did get an email from GG-staff:
Extended dwell time could have also contributed to the spotting, we recommend only allowing the Wash & Coat to dwell for approx. 60 seconds before rinsing. I like to wash half of a vehicle at a time to prevent the product from sitting for too long.
They also questioned if the panels were warm as that too will accelerate the drying and leave the SiO2 solids behind. The car was outside in cloudy day in the temp of 60-degrees.
I found drips down the windshield where water trapped in the channel had dripped down leaving a perfect line of small drops later. Most of the time it is on flat surfaces or due to side splatter as it spots in adjacent panels (watch out for the angles when using the foam cannon method).
So I will try it a third time to figure out how best to use it! But as you read their response keep in mind that 1-minute of dwell time. Afterwards it can dry and has tendency for streaking (as stated over and over again in their live session).
So will sit back and get more responses from the forum!
