    cleaning blood from interior

Hello, I recently picked up my brother's dog from the vet. I picked up the dog and once inside notice the wound was suture but not cover. Vet said it was fine to have the wound uncovered. The suture is in the tail and the dog wag it's tail around making a big mess in the interior of car seats and headliner with blood stains.

What are my best options to clean the interior cloth seats and the headliner from the blood stains?

My stain removal system has been Chemical Guys Lightning Fast and Invinsible Super cleaner for years. I am sure there are other products out there. On the seats, saturate the stains with Lightning and allow it to dwell a few minutes. Use a scrub brush or a Scotch Brite Doby sponge to agitate the area until it becomes frothy. You will see the color begin to pull in to the froth. Wipe it clean with a microfiber towel. I then use the Invinsible to follow up and do the same thing. Follow with a wet extractor if you have one available.

The headliner, same products but DO NOT saturate. Put the product on the sponge and gently agitate the blood stained area and wipe dry with a MF towel. Headliners are fragile so you need to be careful. It may take several attempts to remove the stain in that area. Patience and persistence is necessary.

I use the P&S products for these and use them too on cleaning up garments when encounter blood. (Sometimes I get a few cuts and scratches).

Renny Doyle Double Black Terminator Enzyme Spot & Stain

I use the recommendations by Renny Doyle and you might find that video on blotting in AG YouTube or on P&S products.

And to follow up afterwards use the Peroxide product to help flush the residue that can be left behind.

peroxide removes blood but what it will do to the color is anybody guess. my sisterinlaw had a bleeding cut on her foot and left a trail from her bedroom to the bathroom beige carpeting , i cleaned it with peroxide , it did not hurt the color at all.

I'm curious about this method since peroxide is a whitening agent, if I remember correctly.
