Educate me on IK foam sprayers?

Hey auto geeks, I know there many threads regarding these foam sprayers.

I know these are not necessary for detailing. I’m still having trouble deciding if these would be a helpful tool for me regarding speed/efficiency.

I used to have the Adams foam pump sprayer a while back.

I returned it because I felt that it was wasting too much product.

Maybe it was me being stupid.

Does this tool help in efficiently detailing cars, in anyway.

Feel free to share your experience and how they help you.

Your likes and dislikes about them.

The only thing that draws me to them is foam tends to stick to panel/wheel.

As where a regular spray just rides off as it hits.

    Your thoughts?

Nice thick foam, but requires a lot of pumping.

Thanks Rsurfer, the pumping is a no no for you?

    Hard on hands over time?

I do the wheel barrels including the tires and wheels, so it takes about 3 (15 pumps) per wheel. So 3 X 15 X 4 = 180 strokes.

If I was doing 2-3 cars a day, it would bother me.

I have the ik foam 12 and I really like it. I use a ryobi inflator to fill it up to 44psi

That gets all 4 wheels and tires foamed up easily

If you don't need the foaming action you can always try out a cheap hand pump from one of the big home improvement stores.

I use a small 32oz one from Home Depot for degreaser and use it on wheel wells / tires.

I pump it like a mad man about every 2 or 3 tires but it saves me a good amount of time.

My cheapo pump is almost 1 year old now and still works fine on the daily. Just don't put tire acid in them it'll destroy it
The best way to get revenge? Teach them how to detail. They'll spend the rest of their life worrying about the condition of their car.
