Karcher 1700 versus Kranzle K1122TST
Interested to know if any one has either of these 2 set-ups from OG. Karcher set-up is below:
- All Stainless QDs where available (a few of the reducers are brass)
- 50' KobraJet Hose
- Original Mosmatic Swiveling Gun
- Original Mosmatic Wand
- MTM PF22.2 Foam Cannon 1.1mm
- MTM Stainless 3.0 Nozzle 4 Pack (0, 15, 25, 40 degree)
- 6.5', 12' or 20' Inlet Hose w/ Stainless Garden Hose QDs.
- Kranzle set-up is below:
- Also includes original Kranzle wand and sprayer that comes with the K1122TST
- Option for: 6.5', 12', or 20' Custom Continental Hose (No longer swiveling)
- MTM stainless steel garden hose quick disconnects
- All Mosmatic quick disconnects are T304 Stainless Steel (Made in Germany)
- OG Spec Mosmatic 20" bent wand
- MTM PF22.2 foam cannon with Mosmatic stainless 1/4" Plug
- OG Spec Mosmatic 5000PSI sprayer w/ Built-In stainless compact swivel inlet with integrated 3/8" QD plug. This new model has a blue Obsessed Garage branded name plate.
- Mosmatic 4.5 sized orifice nozzle to allow the machine to run at about 1200PSI for car washing.
I completely understand that I am sort of comparing apples and oranges due to the price variance. However, I have read reviews where the Karcher starts off great and then becomes an irritant instead of a helpful tool. I also understand the argument of buying the economy model 3 times to equal the cost of the supposed higher quality model. I'm just curious to hear from those who have either unit.
Thanks in advance,
Alan

Hard to compare because the cost is so far apart. Karcher seems to have issues but apparently you call them and they replace the unit, 3 year warranty if I’m not mistaken.
Kranzle is a solid power washer but some of the warranty reports on the OG FB group are scary, they don’t seem to want to fix those for free. If you’re spending a grand on a PW you’d expect it to last at least 10 years of trouble free operation.
I personally have a greenworks and the rest is the OG setup. It works well for me. I’d love to own a Kranzle but it’s hard to justify that bill.

This is the exact reason I am wary of electric-powered PW's.
With a gas-powered unit, I know I can fix anything from A to Z on the pump or engine with ease. And parts are readily available.
This is solely my opinion, and I do get the advantages of the electric units.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

I went with the Ar630tss from OG. Love it. Very similar to Kranzke specs for less. Very solid
To me electric wins because I can leave it wall mounted and easily wash inside my garage

I have a solid gas unit but I only want the electric to wash inside which I will be doing almost exclusively since I am retiring in 45 days. Thanks for the input.

Do you use MTM foam cannon and trigger? How about the hose?

I was looking in similar directions when deciding what to replace my well-used old Karcher.
Either a new and more up-spec Karcher or jumping in the deep end with a Kranzle.
I decided on the Kranzle in the end with an upgraded MTM gun and foam cannon.
To say I love it is an understatement! It just makes using a pressure washer so much more enjoyable.
That said, the price differance is massive. A Karcher with upgraded gun, hose and wand will most likely do everything you need.

Re: Karcher 1700 versus Kranzle K1122TST
DFB,
Thank you for your response and input. I will be retiring in 6 weeks so detailing will become full-time so the unit will be used almost every day. Do you feel that you 'overspent' and it might not have been worth it in relation to an upscale Karcher (or your old Karcher for that matter)? I agree that the $$ difference is substantial but I just don't want to be sorry if the Karcher becomes problematic.
Thanks again,
Alan

I have the OG gun a different wand extension and a cheap foam cannon
Plus the 100 ft blue hose from OG. The hose and gun are both amazing

If it is a consideration, I speced out a Comet from OG. I absolutely love it
