Correct, not to any noticeable or possibly measurable amount. SiO2 bases don’t seem impacted by prep wipes. Some use prep wipes along with Iron X to decontaminate true coatings.

Re: CarPro Eraser Residue!?
Update.... Bought some Essence and TRC Eagle Edgeless MF and I don't have the marring anymore after wiping post polish! I ordered a few to start and now that I know they work I bought some more to do the whole car this weekend.
Only thing i'm fighting now is wiping the Essence, a little tricky. I think I am maybe over working or using too little product and when I go to wipe, most comes off easily but I get some residue that's a real pain to get off and I end up using some Eraser to get it off, but the use of eraser seems to cause my marring issue still, even with the new TRC MF's.
If I do a very small section, use a few dots of Essence each time and then wipe quickly I can get a nice shiny, rich clear coat free of marring.

For me, 2-3 passes with Essence is golden. Also don’t need to use much either. Glad to hear the marring has stopped.

Heat activates the active ingredients in Essence. Overworking Essence would cause it to get sticky. Like Fly said... 2 to 3 passes max (on low/medium speed). I generally avoid using surface prep products until I am ready to lay down the coating. If the residue is hard to get off, run a quick pass over it with your polisher (no extra product) then wipe off immediately. Another way is to go over the trouble area with a clean lightly damp towel then wipe off with a dry one.

Yes
I have heard no more than 2-3 passes with most primer polishes. And a little bit of product is plenty.
Do the directions on the Essence label state polisher speed, working area and number of passes?

That would be way too easy...lol
There are just too many variables to have one standard process.

Re: CarPro Eraser Residue!?
Just for my slowness are you all using essence and then wiping. Then applying the coating? No Eraser?
If waiting till next day is their anything else to wipe down with that would be better than eraser?

No IPA wipe down necessary. You do not need to wait 12 or 24 hours. You can go right into applying a coating. There are many YouTube videos verifying this information. I will find some later when I’m not busy at work. Will message you.

Use eraser before you use essence.
