Re: Jeep Hard Top Coating?
Here's what they had to say.
After speaking with one representative I was transferred to the MOPAR Parts department as the hard tops are not a standard option according to the 1st rep that I spoke with.
I ended up calling a dealership as I was mistakenly transferred to the warranty department for some reason.
So here's what the man at the dealership said, "Not that I'm aware of. I'd just go with what you know."
I guess if I ever get another Jeep hard top to detail again I'll probably try the DLUX and see how it goes.
I'll try to remember to report back here.

What to use on a Jeep top?
Comes up often enough that some solid products people can trust for this finish would be great moving into the future.
Will do...I will start a thread as soon as I begin.
Thanks all...Eric

Subscribed.
I have always just used a spray wax (OCW) on my wife's Wrangler hard top.
It's a textured fiberglass, but I'm not sure wether it is gel coated. Doesn't seem to be, IMO.

Mothers Back To Black might work on those hard tops.

Sweet! I just happen to have the GG 3-n-1, and was wondering about it.

I have an 02 sport and after searching on the jeep forum i used penetrol. Yes the stuff they use to thin oil based paints but it's also a conditioner for fiberglass. It has been at least a year and it still looks good.
FWIW.

Penetrol, huh??? That's weird, but I just googled, "Penetrol Jeep Hardtop" and got a slew of results. More reading to do, I guess, but I'm still going with DLux first.
