Abrasives That Don't Stain Trim/Rubber?
My understanding is that some compounds and polishes do not stain the plastic or rubber on our vehicles. If you know of products that are non-staining, please chime in. Thanks!

For what it's worth,
Two things you can do to avoid staining trim,
1: Tape-off trim with painter's tape.
2: Slow-down - don't buff on trim in the first place.
Off hand I don't make a mental list of what stains and what doesn't stain.

I have been using some old HD Cut and HD Polish+ and they have not stained any trim. I am not sure about the new 3D stuff but I would imagine that would also not stain.

I've always heard the general rule of thumb is to not polish plastics with regular polishes but plastic specific polishes.

Personal insight, just go slow around trim or seals. I haven't taped anything for years and been good. Lots of today's products won't stain or cling. Another small trick if you do have a mishap is to pick up a basic $5 bottle of mineral oil. Couple drops on a microfiber rag and it will remove any polish or compound in seconds. Just IPA wipe after and move on.

Hyper polish works great at cleaning up trim or removing a trim coating.
