If your vehicle is maroon, "natural" aluminum wheels would look better than black wheels anyway, IMHO.
The SUV is octane red pearl coat is the name they gave it.

Re: My wheels are scratched, help

When I bought my 2012 Acura TL used, there were some scuffs on the wheel so I found a local wheel refinisher that worked out of a tow behind trailer in the nearby BMW lot. He removed the scuffs and repainted them for me in Dodge’s Brass Monkey color followed by a clear coat. So far they have held up well. Very pleased for $75 a wheel. Just throwing that out in case you’re not able to buff those scratches out.

Give it a shot in a little section. Those wheels look clear coated to me.

Wrap finger around microfiber towel, apply polish of choice, rub back and forth and work polish til haze is gone, buff residue off.

Stupid question but isn’t that filling in scratches?

No, the polish and the microfiber are abrasive and will remove clear coat. When you do so, you level or get closer to level and making the surface flat will appear scratch free and glossy.

A glaze would be filling the scratch. Waxes to some extent as well.

I would just use the DA and a small pad and skip this hand business. Its faster and you will get better results than by hand. Plus you will save your fingers.

Ok wish me luck, but not happy about this wheel at all.

    Thanks

Do a test spot on the passenger side rear wheel as Mike would say.
