First time WETS application, questions.
I have been reading threads related to WETS and tried to find answers to my questions. Still have some questions.
I am planning to apply WETS to 2015 Subaru Forester's trims,
Car in question. Thanks for all info/help provided by all experts here, really helped me get off the ground with regards to maintaining my vehicle.
This is front bumper. Most of the bumper is in good shape but at the edge, it has started to turn grey/white.
Rear bumper has taken a good beating
Do I need to do anything for these bumpers before WETS application, other than cleaning with APC and do IPA wipe down?
WETS container states that one can apply on rubber (tires for e.g. but doesn't state about weatherstripping around the glass). I wonder if I can apply to these 'gaskets' around the rear windshield. I have applied 303 trim protector to it at the moment.
This is the side trim around the windows. Feels like plastic but AFAIK, it is some kind of thin coating. Is it OK to apply to it?
I don't know what got sprayed on it, but this is the only piece that looks like it. How do I fix it before WETS application?
General question,
- Should I tape sides of the trim so that I do spread it on glass or the paint? If not, and goes on glass or the paint by accident, how long do I have before wiping it off?
Thanks again for all info.

Those faded areas on the bumpers will need to be dyed (Solution Finish) and then topped with WETS.
The B pilliars can be polished like paint. It's a film and can be polished.
Roll down the glass and tape the paint.

Re: First time WETS application, questions.
I agree with Rsurfer, you're going to need to use Solution Finish to revive those bumpers. SF claims to provide protection as well, incl. UV, but you could always top it with another layer of protection (WETS, DLux, etc.)
As for the B pillars, you say they "feel like plastic". How about when you tap on it gently - do you get a metallic sound or not ? If they turn out to be plastic, or plastic covers, hit them with the WETS.
That pillar side piece looks to have been hit with some sort of chemical spray. If it's metal, polish it with some Blackfire One Step (or equivalent product). And if the rest of your pillars also turn out to be metal, BF One Step would be great for polishing them as well.
You don't have to be too careful about getting WETS on glass and paint. Of course it's always good practice to be as careful as possible but it will wipe off with no ill effects. If you use the Solution Finish, you definitely need to keep that off of unintended surfaces.
As for weatherstrip and seals, there are better products to use ... Gummi Pflege or the 303 equivalent (same stuff, different packaging) for example.

Sound advice. The B pillars need a mild polish with a soft pad. WETS will restore the richness to the vinyl but it will not bring back the color. You will need Solution Finish on the faded areas.

Missed this thread last night.
Will he have to remove the WETS before applying SF? I'm assuming "yes".
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

What polish would you suggest?

On the B pillars, any AIO works great. 3D Speed and Blackfire One Step are both excellent choices.

Any finishing polish should work. OTC Meg's Ultimate Polish.

Yep, SF's directions recommend to prep the surface with an isopropyl wipe down.
