I wouldn’t say it self levels, just be sure to apply a thin and even film to be able to level with one or two wipes, otherwise it starts to feel like glue. It probably only needs 1 minute, waiting too long will probably make it even stickier.
For wheels I have started using the same coating I’m applying to the paint and have used Dlux only on trim and exhaust tips as it’s much easier to apply to those.

Gotta' get over that fear/intimidation sooner or later. A high spot is not the end of the world.

I was a little worried before using the one you sent me, Mike.

But I quickly found that if you concentrate, pay full attention to what you are doing, and work small areas, there is no reason to worry about anything.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

Agreed man, totally, I even put CQUK 3.0 & Cancoat in my cart here in AG and ended up deleting both for that reason, my wifes car is white and that is why it scares me, but I need to pull the trigger.

Maybe when graphene (supposedly more forgiving on the installation) becomes more a real thing and less a hype I will be more motivated but I really like those 2 coatings that I mentioned above looks. Next spring I will have to make a choice.

Good luck with that. It’s so hyped right now but it’s dropped off a bit. It looks like it might fizzle out especially when none of the big names are investing in it.

Brings back the memories of the old Teflon days.

There are companies who make coatings with ingredients that allow you to see what you have just applied with special lights. Might be a good way 'to get your feet wet' with a new process.

    Carpro Dlux, wrong date???

I have applied Cquartz Uk 3.0 and Gliss to one car, my own. The hardest part of it was waiting for the right time to do it, as I refused to do a rush job (spanned three afternoons).

When using the “light” siO2 coatings (TACsystem) it’s so much easier for me. Longer flash times, larger working area and high spots aren’t a big worry.
