    Topper Removal Product

I have Gyeon DuraFlex coating on my vehicle. I have played around with a few different toppers. I would like to experiment with a few more before I decide what one I prefer. Any recommendations for a product that will remove the topper, get me to a virgin surface, and not damage the base ceramic coating?

Maybe something like DP Coating Prep Wash ?

It says it will remove waxes, oils, and sealants. But it does not say one way or another whether it will affect a coating. A call to the Geek's tech support may be in order for that info.

    •IMO:
-A “Test Spot” should be part and parcel of
what I’ll refer to as experimental Coating
    toppers’ removal products/processes.

    -With that in mind:
Give P21S Total Auto Wash (TAW) a try.
(Start with a 1:4 dilution ratio.)

    Re: Topper Removal Product

I use mckees coating prep wash to maintenance wash my CQUK3 and it gets it squeaky clean. I also have my hood uncoated and it seems to damage remove toppers i use on their. No adverse affects on coating.

    The DP’s probably similar.

Foam with it, let dwell, rinse. Then bucket wash and your good.

I don't know how a person could ever tell what has or hasn't been removed.

Unless you can shrink yourself down to the size of Ray Palmer aka the Atom and have a walk around on the surface to survey it after any process done to remove the topper.

I guess you could try a prep polish like recommended but - how would you ever know what was really removed or left behind?

Gyeon Cure, Mothers CMX, Mc Kees, Wolfgang Sealant, Meguire Ceramic. There may be one or two I missed.

Mikes right about this and you’ll never truly know. After i did this process the first time i followed up with a reset foam and wash to make sure it was clean ant coating prep soap wasnt leaving behind a film masking the properties of the LSP.

Couldnt tell you if it was all gone but can definitely say performance was severely degraded

    Re: Topper Removal Product

Anything strong enough to remove a topper would probably remove what's under it.
