    Advice for newbie and polishers

I am a total noob and have a black 2018 cr-v, I have noticed a bunch on swirls and some scratches and am considering a da polisher . The ones I read about are about 50% more in Canada if they are even available here so a 200 us would be 300 Canadian . I was my car with good soap noncirxles , dry with microfibre towels etc , I think the problem
    is removing snow all
winter scratches the car . I would like to polish in the spring each year or is this to much ?

so looking for a da polisher for beginner and if I buy a six inch what pads and polish, not sure if I need a compound or just polish and wax , also would inalso
buy a 3 inch backing and some 3 inch pads for tighter areas , also if buying 3 inch would I buy a six inch plate.

any advice is appreciated , I am reading as much as possible but don’t understand everything on here

Re: Advice for newbie and polishers

A great starter kit and a reasonable price is the Griot Garage 6". Autogeek sells the KIT. I would get the kit as it will cover MOST of your detail needs. I would suggest using a 5" Pad as opposed to 6".

I have the PC7424XP and that was my first DA. I still use it and you will probably use your 1st DA if you decide to upgrade. My suggestion is to get one of Mike Phillips book on how to detail. He is the ORACLE of the DA world.

    I hope this helps.

Do you mean but a 6 inch polisher with 5 inch pads , or buy a 5 inch polisher with 5 inch pads . Also do you know if they ship to Canada .

    thanks
